Working with Word or Excel - Why
Not Put Them Together?
If you find this tip helpful:

I have a favorite spot that I like
to sit in, my couch. When I ride the train into New York City,
I even have a favorite side of the train I like to sit on.
Many of us are drawn to doing things a certain way because
we are comfortable. One thing I’ve learned as an Entrepreneur
is that I need to be open to advice from other people, and
what once was awkward now seems second nature to me.
Let’s look at a specific example. Microsoft
Excel and Word; so many people use these programs but if
you’re more comfortable with one over the other you
will work in it no matter what. I have seen people write
an entire proposal in Excel and do complicated tables with
numbers in Word.
Why not break out of your comfort
zone and use both? Did you know in Microsoft Word you can
add a spreadsheet on any page? So if you love Excel, use it
with Word. If you’re doing a breakdown of a project
use Word and go to the Insert Menu and choose
Object. From the box scroll down and choose Microsoft
Excel Worksheet.

Work on the spreadsheet just like
it was in Excel, and when you are done click anywhere else
on the Word document to resume the text portion of your file.
To edit the spreadsheet at anytime just double-click
the sheet or right-click and choose worksheet
object – edit.
Try something new and before you know it,
it won’t be uncomfortable any more.
